Product Use
Product Use
First, pick the right body lotion for your skin type.
Use our silky body lotion right after a shower, because your skin is most thirsty then. Damp skin absorbs lotion most readily.
Apply a coin-sized dollop of lotion on your palm, and start applying from the bottom up.
Rub your palms together to warm up the lotion.
Use your hands to massage the lotion into your body in small circular motions.
Repeat until you have covered your entire body (don’t forget your neck!).
For face lotion, figure out what type of face skin you have, purchase products with great ingredients for your skin type, wash and prep your face for lotion, pat your face with a clean, soft cloth until it is damp, apply the appropriate amount of lotion onto your damp skin, and extend your lotion application to your neck.

Parabens and Phthalates are two types of chemicals that are often found in personal care products, such as cosmetics, shampoos, and perfumes. They have different functions and potential health effects.
Parabens are preservatives that prevent the growth of bacteria and mold in products that contain natural ingredients. They usually have names that end with “paraben”, such as methylparaben or propylparaben. Some studies have suggested that parabens can disrupt hormones in the body and increase the risk of cancer, but the evidence is not conclusive. The FDA has not regulated parabens, but the European Commission has banned or restricted some of them.
Phthalates are chemicals that make plastics more flexible and durable. They are also used to enhance the fragrance and texture of products. They usually have names that end with “phthalate”, such as diethylphthalate or dibutylphthalate. Some studies have shown that phthalates can interfere with hormones and reproductive development, especially in children. The FDA has not banned phthalates, but for your health and ours, Okoboji Soap Company has chosen to restrict their use in any of our products.
